Serious about robotics? Caution Tape invites our top students to join our official VEX IQ teams in a full-year elite-level competitive robotics program. Just as students join elite-level sports teams, Caution Tape assembles high-performance teams of students ages 9-14, and provide training, mentorship, club access, practice time and uniforms.
The Ultimate Robotics Experience
Joining a high-performance robotics team is one of the most enriching experiences a student can participate in. Caution Tape strives to provide the best possible instructors, equipment, mentorship and team culture, allowing students to reach their full potential.
Selection Process
Team members will be invited from students who have attended Caution Tape camps or workshops. Staff will recommend students for selection based on the following attributes:
- Commitment
- Maturity
- Responsibility
- Enthusiasm
- Character
- Ability and willingness to learn

VEX SIGNATURE EVENT
Experiences above and beyond.
REC Foundation Signature Events give teams the opportunity to play at a tournament that is of the highest caliber and provides an experience above and beyond a standard tournament. Signature Events have the added bonus of qualifying teams directly to the VEX Robotics World Championships.
VEX WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
Largest robotics competition on the planet.
The VEX Robotics World Championship brings together qualifying teams from the two VEX Robotics programs: the VEX IQ Challenge, VEX Robotics Competition, with the VEX AI Competition bringing the number to three in 2022. The championship is an international celebration of the robotics community and a final tournament to crown the VEX World Champions in each league. The 2021–24 championships are scheduled to be held in Dallas, Texas.
